The Nan Isht Aiyukpa (Blessings) Box provides a box of shelf-stable meals to eligible Choctaw children enrolled in school (pre-K – 12th grade). Boxes are delivered to participant homes every two weeks. Children receive 14 shelf stable lunches and snacks with each delivery.
This initiative is provided by the Choctaw Nation Nutrition Services Department in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Participation in the Blessing Box program does not affect eligibility for any other food assistance program, and this service is available to all Choctaw school-aged children who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches in Choctaw, Coal, Hughes and McCurtain counties.
